GoNetspeed is currently looking for a creative and self-motivated Social Media & Digital Content Specialist. This person will be responsible for supporting the social media team with various projects under supervision of the Social Media Manager. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, creating engaging and attractive social media post graphics, assisting with video content creation, producing livestreaming content, capturing on-site content, and more. The ideal candidate will have a creative eye for graphics and photography, a love for branding, and a keen eye for detail.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Create, edit, publish, and share daily content (original text, images, video, or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to engage.
  • Responsible for video concepts, coordination, and execution for various social platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Attend company-related community and internal events to collect content (ability to work confidently and tactfully, identify ideal content in the moment, and engage with the public is a must).
  • Help execute GoNetspeed’s social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification.
  • Produce recuring livestreaming segments to educate and engage current customers, potential customers, and professionals in the technology industry.
  • Identify and help create blog content and coordinate SEO-friendly syndication schedules.
  • Collaborate with other departments (customer relations, sales, outside plan staff etc) to manage brand reputation, identify key players, and coordinate messaging.
  • Moderate user-generated content and ensure it is in line with company policies for each platform.
  • Educate internal team members on social media, behavioral trends, and industry updates.
  • Completes special projects as assigned by leadership*.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of digital marketing and social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube)
  • Experience in graphic design is required
  • Experience with Canva is highly recommended
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet/manage multiple deadlines
  • Must have high standards regarding the quality of internal and external facing communications
  • Proficient using multi-social posting programs such as Sprout and HubSpot
  • Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites
  • General knowledge of Search Engine Optimization and internet ranking for web content
  • Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills
  • Relevant experience determining a target audience and how to cater unique marketing campaigns to capture their attention
  • Strong understanding of marketing strategy and how to effortlessly utilize these concepts throughout various forms of outreach
  • Positive attitude, detail, and customer oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability
  • Strong video content skills including creating Reels, Stories and YouTube videos
  • Ability to work unpredictable hours, including some evenings and weekends

Education and Experience:

  • A background in Marketing, English, or Graphic Arts is preferred
  • Knowledge of digital marketing and social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn)
  • Experience in graphic design is required
  • Experience with Canva is highly recommended
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet/manage multiple deadlines
  • Must have high standards regarding the quality of internal and external facing communications
  • Exceptional computer skills required
