Job Summary:

The Site/Civil Project Engineer EI will work closely with other engineers, technical specialists, and clients to successfully deliver innovative solutions for our client's challenges. They work as a key team member developing designs across Keller’s different offices for state, municipal, institutional, commercial, and industrial clients.


Responsibilities include:

  • Participate in all phases of a project including planning, design, and construction for a variety of public and private clients
  • Using local or industry design standards to design site improvements, roadways, storm drainage, and water and sewer utilities
  • Analyze engineering and survey data and interpret design standards and guidelines to make sound decisions and solve design challenges
  • Work with multidisciplinary technical teams including building architects and electrical, plumbing, and structural engineers.
  • Provide exceptional client service
  • Develop 3D models of projects using Civil 3D or Microstation.
  • Develop plans, specifications, and contract documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS Office programs, and other design software.
  • Write technical memoranda, engineering reports, and planning studies
  • Conduct construction management and field inspection services
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • AutoCAD/Civil3D experience is preferred.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Design experience is desired with a strong interest in general civil engineering.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with multiple priorities
  • Attention to detail, quality work products, and client service

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
  • 0-4 years of relevant professional experience
