Your Role:
We are seeking a full-time Site/Civil Department Manager within our Cincinnati office. We are looking for an
experienced professional who will lead the development and growth of the site/civil design team. The candidate
will be the engineer-in-charge and have experience with projects specific to site design for our public and private
clients. The candidate will be in charge of the site projects, production, and people, and will assist with business
development efforts. The position will focus primarily on management and design work associated with site
development, but could also assist with production of public projects if needed. These projects could include public
infrastructure and utility design. The candidate will perform a wide range of administrative and managerial tasks.
You will be utilizing engineering principles and generating and/or reviewing detailed drawings using CAD and
other design software for construction, maintenance, and planning of development projects.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Design and oversight of design for site/civil projects
  • Serving as the point person for hiring, training, developing, and maintaining site/civil design staff
  • Networking and marketing services to improve the presence and reputation of the company in relation to
site development services
  • Proposal/technical writing
  • Partnering with human resources and finance to maintain office policies and budgets
  • Working closely with senior-level management to assist with development of site/civil design services

Key Skills, Competencies, Experience, & Certifications required:

  • ABET-accredited degree in Civil Engineering
  • 8+ years of professional and technical experience
  • Ohio PE Certification
  • MicroStation and/or AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience
  • Positive reputation within the local design community (e.g. developers, architects, municipalities)
  • Proven networking skills
  • A record of successful proposal writing, including technical approach preparation
  • Experience leading, and managing staff
