Here at Keller Associates all aspects of the design are done in house! This includes Civil, Structural, Plumbing, HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation.

An experienced Site/Civil CAD Designer/Technician is needed to team up with our engineers to prepare routine layouts, detail drawings, sketches, and diagrams for a variety of infrastructure improvement projects. An ideal candidate has a solid understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with engineering terminology. They possess a willingness to undertake roles as needed and learn new skills and tools.

Responsibilities include:

• Design of civil site projects for State, municipal & private development
• Draft and assemble construction drawings as part of a team under the supervisor of an Engineer or Senior Engineer
• Notice design conflicts and work with the team to resolve
• Prepare documents using Civil3d
• Conform to appropriate Company CAD standards or client standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• Associates degree in computer aided drafting field with 1+ years in civil engineering field or, 3+ years’ experience in civil engineering design
• Portfolio of work that demonstrates strong performance on software and understanding of site design
• Proficiency in Civil3d required, with a knowledge of external references, data shortcuts, pipe networks
• Experience with other software is a plus (GIS or MicroStation)
• Outstanding organizational skills
• Solid decision-making skills and strong communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with engineers and other draftsman to solve complex problems as a team
