Shop Manager Job Description

We are looking for an influential leader who is passionate about developing a team who delivers a guest centered experience. Shop Managers lead a multi-tiered management team focused on driving operational efficiencies and a profitable sales culture. Shop Managers are avid about all Garrett brand standards and ensure all business practices are running with ease. Shop Managers lead all Shop day-to-day functions, execute weekly, monthly, and quarterly plans, and takes initiative to improve KPI results.

Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to direct management and responsibility (a) of 4-wall P&L budgets to ensure targets are consistently met and improved, (b) training and development of Shop Team Members, (c) ensure compliance with brand standards, including product quality and superior customer experience, (d) enforcement of all Standard Operating Procedures, and (e) coaching and leadership development across Shop team.

Key Responsibilities

Exceptional Customer Experience

· Provide a unique and genuine guest experience that delights every fan

· Set sales and engagement goals for the Shop to meet forecast demands

· Ensure all Team Members and leaders provide guests with an experience that aligns with all brand standards through strong coaching practices

· Make business management decisions from the perspective of the optimal guest experience

Strong Team Development and Support

· Develop managers and Team Members who can thrive in a guest-centered environment, actively sell, and drive top-line results

· Build teams who are passionate about the brand, are operationally efficient, and are effective with daily recipe execution

· Engage staff at every level of the business to ensure they are happy and motivated

· Create solid routines that promote effective communication to drive personal and professional growth

· Maintain effective staffing with top performing Team Members through strong coaching practices

· Actively network, recruit, and hire to ensure Shop is staffed appropriately for all business needs

· Tactical leader who enjoys leading by example and working side-by-side with the team

· Align team behaviors with company initiatives including all standard operating procedures, communication methods, and best practices

· Lead through challenging circumstances with a can-do attitude and a solution-oriented mindset

Operational Excellence

· Develop operational goals to help drive profitability while maintaining quality

· Demonstrate strong business acumen and understanding of business metrics and reports and how to impact them through behaviors operationally

· Manage controllable costs and implement behaviors to increase sales without compromising brand standards

· Ensure proper execution of all recipes and cooking procedures through quality audits, observation, and active practice

· Manage the daily production levels and rotation to ensure guests are always receiving the freshest Garrett Popcorn possible

· Approach challenges with a ‘make it happen’ mindset and reach out for support when necessary

· Execute all daily operations, reporting, and communication while teaching others to do the same

· Align behaviors with company initiatives including processes, communication methods and system implementation

· Manage all certifications for employees and Shop to ensure Shop is following proper health / food regulations

Requirements

· 3 – 5 years of retail management experience

· Knowledge of health and food safety regulations

· Experience building high performing teams

· Track record of achieving strong sales, managing costs and having strong KPIs

· A commitment to excellent customer service and engagement

· A professional and clean appearance

· Available for weekend, evening and holiday hours

· Physical requirements include the following:

· Must be able to exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to eight hours in length

· Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally

· Must have the stamina to work a minimum of 50+hours a week

· Must have an up-to-date ServeSafe Manager Certificate
