Job Summary

The Coordinator performs a wide range of administrative and support duties associated with the maintenance shop including repair scheduling, parts inventory and warranties claims. Will assist in providing leadership for the district shop within the bounds of the coordinator position to achieve equipment availability, maintainability and overall cost control. The Coordinator will perform a variety of administrative tasks, including answering phone calls, maintaining records, inventory accuracy and processing warranty claims.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance of proper P.P.E. as defined in their areas of responsibility.
  • Scheduling of equipment repairs, scheduled maintenance to provide maximum availability and contractor maintenance.
  • Maintain warehouse inventories at agreed upon levels of performance based upon best practice and negotiating lowest price.
  • Maintain equipment records and files to in compliance with local and federal governing agencies.
  • Track and flag repair orders for warranty claims, Process warranty submittals and follow up on payments.
  • Coordinate internal customer needs for spare parts in conjunction with planned preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
  • Maintain SAP integrity and system intelligence so that data input is consistent, of high quality and accurate.
  • Ensures spare parts and other resources are delivered to perspective plants for the execution of maintenance work and charged to workorders.
  • Liaison with coordinators at other locations on a regular basis to ensure that a common approach to warehousing and procurement activities is achieved.
  • Creates purchase orders, process appropriate paperwork to pay vendor invoices in compliance with Cemex requirements.
  • Identifies overstock, low usage items and obsolete inventory.
  • Perform general office duties, including faxing, copying, scanning and filing.
  • Collect and enter equipment hours weekly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma required, excellent verbal, writing and reading comprehension skills.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Intermediate computer skills (SAP knowledge, Microsoft Windows, Excel spreadsheet creation).
  • Excellent communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Ability to develop and administer efficient work processes.
  • Customer and supplier focused.
  • Analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of fleet and heavy equipment parts and service is highly desirable.
  • Ability to maintain composure under stress.
  • Mechanical and/or electrical aptitude is highly desirable.

Working Conditions

  • Maintenance Repair Shop parts room, possible exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors.
  • Capability to work extended hours as necessary
  • Must wear protective equipment while at the location.

Physical Requirements

  • Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
  • Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up, to move objects
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $46,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
