Job description

Position Summary:
This position packages materials for direct shipment to customer so as to arrive at their destination in an undamaged condition.

Key Accountabilities:
Uses tensioner, sealer and combination tensioner-sealer banding equipment. Changes spools of banding.

Uses platform scale for counting purposes. Reads and records gross weights, determines damage and calculates net weight as required.

Uses basic mathemetics to determine quantities packaged and shipped, as well as the number of cartons, cases, racks, skids and pallets.

Operate table saw, radial saw, electric tape machine, hand tools, electric or manual pallet lift truck.

Measures materials with steel tape ruler.

Determines and procures the common corrugated box, pallet, etc. best suited for each order.

Operates electric jib, crane and platform jack.

Required to build boxes and pallets and assemble crates.

Responsible for the safe and proper operation of auto packing machine.

Stock or withdraw material in bin areas as required and perform any other work required in the department.

Perform boxing of finished and vacuum sealed parts which have been placed in the CVD finished goods inventory room for packaging.

Your Profile:
Ability to use various hand tools, sealers, floor jacks, cranes, banders, table saw, etc.

Attention to detail to accurately perform required administrative packaging tasks.

Organized and able to prioritize and manage multiple assignments.

Math aptitude.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Initiative; able to work without close supervision.

Experience in a manufacturing environment.
