ESI is now hiring a Shipping Handler in Miami, FL.

POSITION SUMMARY:

ESI is seeking a Shipping Handler for a components distribution company in South Florida. The role of the Shipping Handler is to ensure that outgoing shipments are adequately packaged/preserved and meet Customer and/or the businesses delivery requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of shipping computer systems (FedEX, UPS, BAX, EMERY, etc.)
• Haz Mat training is a plus but not required
• Knowledge of computer hardware and associated software (i.e. inventory management, Ship station and MS Office)
• Previous interactions with LEAN or six sigma processes or other continuous improvement approaches are ideal
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments
• Be able to lift up to 75 lbs

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Packing and shipping components
• Basic computer task daily utilizing MS Suite
• Ensure everything is packaged correctly to prevent damage during shipping
• Checking specs for special packaging sequences
• Imaging documents relative to the sale
• Determining which companies to use for shipping
• Schedule pickups
• Ensure all documentation is providing with parts prior to shipping
