Job description
The Shipping Coordinator, reporting to the Shipping Manager-Administration, ensures the shipping logistics for all orders being picked up from the Distribution Center are carried out in a timely manner. Position will work shift assigned in both the Distribution Center office and out in the Distribution Center.
Responsibilities:
- Taking direction from Shipping Manager-Administration.
- Review all incoming orders and prepare pick lists for shipping personnel
- Processes and coordinates bill of lading, schedule and tracks trucks for pickups
- Coordinate packing lists.
- Keys in routing numbers for the trucks.
- Receives and distributes and processes merchandise to appropriate loading dock
- Filing and answering the phone
- Data entry into Envision
- Logging all shipments in Excel
- Communicates any delivery problems with manager or Senior Shipping Clerk for resolution to issue.
- All other duties as assigned
Education and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 1+ years’ of experience in a warehouse or shipping environment within a manufacturing, warehouse or military environment
Skills:
- Must possess the ability to read, write in English and comprehend oral instructions
- Experience working in a fast paced environment
- Able to work occasional weekends, holidays and evenings
