Shipping/Warehouse Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized shipping/warehouse supervisor to oversee our company's shipping operations. You will be processing shipment orders, monitoring the packaging and labeling of completed orders, and evaluating the performance of carriers and shipping department employees.

To ensure success as a shipping/warehouse supervisor, you should exhibit extensive knowledge of logistics and experience in a similar role. A first-class shipping manager will be someone whose shipping expertise translates into smooth and cost-effective shipping services.

Shipping/Warehouse Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Work with Customer Service on shipping priorities.
• Keeping shipping operations within budget without compromising speed or efficiency.
• Processing shipment documentation and inspecting completed orders.
• Creating and implementing shipping policies and procedures.
• Training and supervising shipping employees.
• Acting as a liaison between management, carriers, and shipping customers.
• Collaborating with internal departments to optimize the flow of orders from preparation to shipment.
• Documenting processes and reporting to management as required.
• Evaluating carrier performance and resolving issues with orders and logistics.
• Complying to shipping industry regulations and company policies.
• Oversee the warehouse and work with employees to keep product organized.
• Handle Customer Returns
• Process Freight Claims

Shipping/Warehouse Supervisor Requirements:

• More than five years' experience in the shipping industry.
• Proficiency in UPS and Fed Ex shipping portals.
• In-depth knowledge of logistics and shipping documentation.
• Knowledge of shipping industry regulations.
• Advanced analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
