North Bay Produce is a produce cooperative that is based in Traverse City, MI. We have growers located throughout North and South America. We supply produce to major grocers throughout the US, Canada, Europe, and Asia. The Mid America Airport Warehouse is responsible for both packaging and distribution operations.

We are looking for a warehouse worker to join our team and contribute to warehouse operations and activities. Warehouse associate responsibilities include unloading trailers, stacking cases, storing product, and auditing inventory. Our facility maintains optimal storage temperature for produce at 35 degrees so ability to handle a cold environment is required. Most tasks involve operating forklifts and pallet jacks. Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process produce product (unload, label, store)
• Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
• Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
• Complete inventory audits
• Must be able to lift 30 lbs unassisted
• Report any discrepancies
• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
• Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment
• Follow food safety standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations

Skills

• Proven working experience as a warehouse worker
• Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Ability to lift heavy objects
• Ability to manage night shift schedule
• High school degree

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
