Job description

Under general supervision, patrols Barnwell County and performs general policy work and public services as required in order to maintain public safety and welfare. Investigates crimes, responds to emergency situations and performs other duties in the maintenance of department effectiveness and efficiency. Reports to the Sheriff.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma / GED

Must Be 21 years old

Pass Drug Screening

No Criminal Record

Clear Driving Record

Good Communication Skills

Barnwell County Sheriff’s Office has partnered with Faulkner University to allow employees of BCSO to enroll in an online degree program for less than half the cost of other degree programs. Faulkner University will give credit for classes taken to obtain your required certification through SC Criminal Justice Academy allowing you to earn your degree in a shorter period of time.
