Summary
The Distribution Specialist will primarily focus on monitoring and taking action on the product requisitions that are entered by the locations within the business unit as well as helping the Distribution Lead proactively move inventory from the distribution centers to the regional hubs for upcoming demand. This position will work directly with the personnel at locations to ensure SGS has the right inventory in the right quantity at the right place at the right time to meet both the demand of the customer base as well as achieving the working capital and SG&A initiatives set by SGS leadership.
**Highly preferred candidate will sit in the Columbia Plateau**
Key Responsibilities
Monitoring and taking action on product requisitions in order to keep product moving and meet the needed service level expected by the locations entering orders- Actively reviewing demand reports/forecasts and helping the Distribution Lead proactively move inventory from distribution centers to regional hubs to meet upcoming demand based on the replenishment strategy
- Work directly with locations on getting product returned back to the regional hubs and/or distribution center as the market begins to slow in preparation of sharing that inventory with other active markets
- Maintain constant communication with the locations entering product requisitions to understand their needs, provide information around supply, identify substitute products for unfillable needs, and ultimately provide them with the product that is needed to service their grower

Typical Education
High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Relevant Experience
2+ years related experience and/or training- Inventory Management and Distribution experience highly preferred
- Crop Protection and/or Chemical Sales Experience preferred
- Ag background preferred
- MS Office proficiency and ability to learn company software/programs
- Customer Service / Relationship building experience a plus
- Agility / Ability to work in a faced paced environment
Other Information
$58,000 - $68,000 annually, plus annual incentive plan eligibility
The compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, and other job-related reasons.
