Job Description


Tipico North America is looking for someone who can provide regulatory oversight and support for day-to-day operational needs in these jurisdictions.

The Senior Technical Compliance Lead will report directly to the Sr. Technical Compliance Manger and will collaborate & coordinate with all departments.

They will be responsible for handling all regulatory and compliance matters as they relate to Online Sports Wagering and iGaming Operations within certain jurisdictions, including Colorado, Ohio and New Jersey. The position holder ensures this is done by doing the following:

  • Responsible for ensuring the proper operation and integrity of the Sports Wagering and iGaming operation, monitoring and ensuring compliance with State and Federal regulations
  • Reviewing and assessing all reports of suspicious behavior, taking the appropriate actions to escalate as deemed necessary or not
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of all Anti-Fraud procedures and policies, including review of all online withdrawals, suspicious activity or fraudulent accounts
  • Coordinate with the anti-money laundering (AML) Team to ensure effective processes, assessments and reviews of potential AML issues
  • Coordinate with the Responsible Gaming Manager to ensure that the company effectively handles all responsible gaming cases, player communications and concerns, reporting and reviews
  • Reviewing complex/high profile Security, Game Integrity and Responsible Gaming cases to avoid financial loss, reputational damage, and/or any regulatory breaches
  • Collaborating with internal stake holders to develop Internal Controls and ensuring they are maintained and followed in accordance with state and federal regulations
  • Coordinate communication of all changes to Internal Controls, systems, policies and procedures with all regulatory bodies
  • Monitor and review daily, weekly, monthly and annual reporting requirements for all regulatory bodies and state and federal taxing authorities as required
  • Ensure and maintain a good working relationship with regulators, so that all required communication and reporting between the Sports Wagering and iGaming operation and the regulator(s) is in place
  • Ensuring the proper operation and integrity of interactive gaming and reviewing all reports of suspicious behavior, and immediate notification to regulators upon detecting any person participating in Internet wagering who is (1) engaging in or attempting to engage in, or who is reasonably suspected of cheating, theft, embezzlement, collusion, money laundering, or any other illegal activities, including those activities; (2) required to be excluded pursuant to state law; or (3) Prohibited by the Company from Internet wagering
  • All additional duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years experience of working in a highly regulated environment in a Compliance or Audit role
  • Demonstrable experience in working closely and successfully with external suppliers and providers
  • Leadership and coaching skills with managerial and/or supervisory experience
  • Good people management and relationship building skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an eye for detail
  • Strong organizational skills and a high degree of initiative
  • Highly analytical, with excellent report writing skills
  • Ability to adjust priorities and manage time appropriately and wisely in a fast-paced environment
  • Relevant sports betting, iGaming and/or online poker experience along with gaming industry experience in internal control development, financial statement reporting, AML protocols and procedures, and related operational compliance experience

Potential salary range for this role is $90-95k, depending on skill and experience.
