Key Function of Position:

The Senior Systems Engineer's core responsibilities are to ensure adequate availability and reliability of IT services, assets, and systems throughout the firm; to ensure that the firm is secure and protected through the development and implementation of superior redundancy, performance, resiliency, back-up, business continuity and disaster recovery plans; and, to implement IT policies. This role will work closely with the larger IT Team in overseeing relations with the company's main and remote offices.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of IT systems in a hybrid environment (cloud, mobile, and on-premise), including AD, servers, PCs, networking equipment, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.
  • Ensure adequate availability and reliability of all IT services, assets, and systems.
  • Ensure protection of company assets, including cybersecurity solutions and enhancements, as well as compliance of information protection with different regulations.
  • Plan, implement and support systems in a dynamic and fluid environment.
  • Ensure that environmental or financial risk management reporting is conducted in a timely and professional manner to supervisor.
  • Respond to internal and external information requests in conjunction with management and team members.
  • Actively participate within the organization to ensure all timberland management investment services meet or exceed client commitments.
  • Represent Campbell Global at all levels, maintaining positive public relations.

Qualifications for Position:

  • 3+ years experience in modern cloud solutions, in particular, Microsoft Azure and O365, in a role influencing/involved in design and hands-on experience implementing these cloud technologies.
  • 3+ years experience in on-premise technologies, such as SANs, networking, and security in a capacity of support and implementation.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Forestry, or related field, or a satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience and knowledge required/preferred:

  • Progressive mindset embracing change and new technologies (where appropriate to the business).
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational, time, and prioritization management skills.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of Microsoft cloud services (O365 and Azure administration), client/server architecture, Active Directory, network infrastructure, virtualization (Hyper-V), Citrix, Remote App, SAN based storage systems, and IT policies is required.
  • Demonstrates superior interpersonal communication skills.
  • Relates to and effectively communicates with employees at all levels within the Company.
  • Team player mindset, motivating, sharing, and educating other team members.
  • Comprehends complex, technical subjects and can articulate/communicate/simplify for business communications.
  • Self-motivated, strong work ethic with a focus on delivering a thorough and quality product.
