Vici Health Sciences is a growing pharmaceutical company focused on research and development. We are located in Elkridge MD, a suburb of Baltimore and Washington. We focus on synthesizing and/or formulating pharmaceutical technologies for prescription branded and generic drugs. We are searching for a qualified and motivated Research Scientist to join our team to carry out synthesis and analytical method development activities. Job responsibilities include:

• Develop and optimize synthetic methods to synthesize compounds
• Utilize multiple-step synthesis processes and purify products of interest
• Develop assay and impurities tests for the synthesized drug substances
• Develop assay, impurities and dissolution tests to support formulation, dosage form development
• Understand NMR, IR, LCMS, HPLC-UV, dissolution testing
• Work simultaneously on multiple projects
• Perform maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment

Minimum Qualifications:

• PhD in Chemistry, Pharmaceutics or Chemical Engineering
• A minimum of 1-3 years of laboratory experience
• Working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation like NMR, LC/MS, HPLC, UV, Dissolution etc.
• Knowledge of chromatography data systems, such as Waters Empower, HP Chem Station or other laboratory software.
• Computer literacy in Windows applications and MS Office.
• Demonstrated excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills.
• Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring compliance to all local, state and federal regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail, compliance and quality
• Self motivated individual with the ability to learn, lead and contribute to the team.

The ideal candidate will be familiar with 21 CFR, US FDA guidance, ICH guidelines, IND and ANDA submissions for prescription pharmaceutical small molecules. The candidate must have excellent time management, organization and planning skills. The individual must be able to multi-task, prioritize and manage timelines in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, while meeting deadlines for assigned projects

Pay: $75,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
