Senior Program Manager Radar Lowell, MA or Southfield, MI

Program Manager, is a member of the automotive radar design and development team. S/he leads radar product development from prototype to high-volume production with the goal of becoming the best active safety radar in the world.

Having Radar experience is very beneficial (understanding multi reflection points, etc),

They will consider people with Defense Radar

• Serve as lead for multiple concurrent project successes for cost and schedule.

• Communicate customer report cards to ensure performance and customer perception

• Manage a matrixed team; indirectly manage work of cross-functional teams including Buyers, Engineering, Technicians and Operations personnel support the various project

• Provide cost, schedule and risk information as part of the Request for Proposal (RFP) process

• Work with Engineering and Operations initiate and prepare labor estimates for proposals

• Identify, report and mitigate margin issues

• Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor degree in Engineering with 10 years’ experience managing projects. An MBA or Masters in an Engineering discipline is preferred

• 5+ years of Program/Project Management experience in high volume manufacturing. Preferably with a Tier-1 supplier to the automobile industry

• 5+ years of Design Related Experience in HW, SW, or Systems Engineering Design

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Demonstrated ability to set and achieve stretch goals quickly, while possessing strong people skills

• Good understanding of Critical Path/Waterfall and Agile project management skills needed

• Proven expertise at achieving and sustaining the #1-ranked position with customers

• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Project, and all needed MS Office packages

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $170,000.00 - $195,000.00 per year
