Senior Plant Mechanic

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $28.00 to $38.00 /hour – Commensurate on Experience

Job Summary:

• ReConserve of Colorado is looking for highly motivated, Excellent career oriented team members that have experience troubleshooting and repairing a variety of grain conveying and processing equipment. You will be installing, repairing, maintaining and refurbishing all equipment as it pertains to the production/manufacturing of grain based products. Efficient and effective plant operations are a priority, so the plant mechanic will be expected to consistently execute a preventative maintenance program and correct potential concerns before becoming a downtime issue. You will also be leading other less skilled operator and maintenance personnel.

Work Schedule:

• These are generally a minimum of 8-hour shifts.
• You must be available for overtime and working weekends and holidays on occasion.
• On call for off shift emergency repairs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform with efficiency and excellence all tasks in a safe manner in compliance with safety programs and procedures.
• Observe and test the operation of equipment to diagnose malfunctions and initiate the appropriate repairs.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on processing equipment and ancillary equipment.
• Knowledge in blueprints and schematics with the ability to read.
• Experience with fabrication is essential.
• Ability to weld and cut parts using arc-welding and wire welding as well as flame cutting equipment.
• Knowledge of hydraulic lift systems used on mobile powered equipment.
• Knowledge in electrical systems with the ability to troubleshoot and fix electrical problems including wiring up to 480 volts.
• Knowledge of single and three phase motors is a plus.
• Keep stock ready by updating inventories and logging usage.
• Ability to operate shop equipment such as drill press, band saw, bench grinder, etc.
• Ability to use standard measuring tools (meters, micrometers, gauges).
• Operate a forklift, skid loader, front end loader and miscellaneous equipment as needed to complete duties.
• Maintain your work areas and facilities properly.

Required Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED degree or related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• You must have reliable transportation to be available for work 24/7.
• Clean driving record.

Physical Demands and Requirements:

This job can be physically strenuous (demanding) from time to time. You will be expected to be able to work in tight and or confined spaces, walk, climb, bend, kneel, lift, grip, grasp, push and pull various tools and equipment. You will need the ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally more. This job will require the ability to ascend/descend ladders and work at varying heights from time to time.

• Maintenance: 5 years (Preferred)
• Troubleshooting: 4 year (Preferred)
• Welding: 3 year (Preferred)

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

License:
