Responsibilities
Humana is seeking a Senior Network Operations Engineer that:
Maintains access control, data integrity and file system security for the computer/data center and infrastructure environment.
Monitors, tracks and records system performance and utilization metrics.
Communicates highly technical information to both technical and nontechnical personnel.
Recommends process, hardware and software solutions, including new acquisitions and upgrades, to improve computer/data center and infrastructure efficiency.
May participate in development of information technology and infrastructure projects.
Begins to influence department’s strategy.
Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction.
Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
5 or more years of network operations experience
2 years of corporate IT experience, with Windows 7 and general networking skills
Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Access
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
Professional IT certifications
