Collins Aerospace is seeking to hire a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to check manufacturability of existing products and implements manufacturing processes and changes to improve products and reduce costs. In this role you will be focused on the development and deployment of script processes within our Generator Data Management System (DGMS / LIMS) utilizing SQL to translate standard processes into digital process. You will also support data management and connectivity to equipment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Use DFM Techniques to assist Product Engineering on the development of new products and the redesign of existing products.
• Develops routings and labor standards and updates the ERP System.
• Development and deployment of script processes within our Generator Data Management System (DGMS / LIMS) utilizing SQL
• Translate the standard processes into digital processes and/or reports.
• Work with our Digital Technology team with future SAP implementation.
• Designs systems, processes and equipment to increase efficiency, decrease costs, and improve the quality and reliability of product.
• Identifies opportunities or implements changes, on a need basis, to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials and parts to optimize productivity and ensure optimal use of resources.
• Analyze customer returns for root cause and leads corrective action efforts in cooperation with Product Engineering.
• Prepare cost estimates for proposed projects and provide cost benefit analysis by evaluating cost factors and schedules. Plan, execute, and document engineering economic challenges.

Basic Qualifications:

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract."
• Must have strong analytical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• SQL server knowledge
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical data

Preferred Qualifications:

• C++, Java Script
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of Tableau Software
• AutoCad 2D experience
• General PLC experience
• Lean Manufacturing experience
• Experience in Aerospace or Aviation environment
• Experience with SAP as an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system
