Purpose of Position:
Our Technology Team assists our internal customers in solving complex operational challenges. While we deliver innovative solutions to our internal customer base, we envision the value such solutions can bring to the outside market and the resulting benefits to the Food & Agriculture sector as a whole.
This role, of Sr. Manager Technology Products would be committed to helping our tech product development teams; develop products, that solve industry problems through technology, fit market needs and ultimately provide attractive margins. This role, would be responsible to drive the development of various industry solutions and execute a solid go to Market Strategy for a number of technology solutions/products.
Accountabilities:
  • Product and Platform Development: work with FDP IT and technology vendors to enhance innovation efforts and promote and align product roadmap to FDP technology and business strategies.
  • Develop and maintain a business vision that makes a compelling case for investment to
  • improve, package or sell the tech products being developed.
  • Engage early on with the product development teams to ensure that the product is aligned with the ultimate market/customer expectations.
  • Plan & execute product development roadmap with the project execution team.
  • Provide market insights on technology demand & innovation needs.
  • Keep all stakeholders aligned with market expectations and identify gaps during product development.
  • Ensure products are developed while keeping in focus, the highest standards of IT security, scalability & flexibility.
  • Forge strategic partnerships with relevant technology partners.
  • As part of the Go to Market Approach, identify early on, the best licensing, hosting model to be adapted.
  • Partner with deployment teams, business leaders/executives to stay aligned with the expectations & objectives of strategic technology initiatives.
  • Own, communicate, and envision product roadmaps, both within the organization and to prospective external customers.
  • Facilitate communication throughout the development process between internal stakeholders and customers while protecting the freedom and autonomy of the teams.
  • Support product owners on key decisions and challenges providing guidance when needed.
  • Engage the business to identify their needs and spot opportunities to build features that increase engagement and adoption.
  • Communicate strategy and consistent product messaging to stakeholders and users.
  • Ensure that high standards of reliability, quality, usability, and measurement are adhered to throughout each phase of product development.
  • Ensures that product directions balance both the user needs and business goals of driving sales, improving efficiency, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate and build strong working relations with various internal stakeholder groups, including Technology Teams, Legal, Marketing
  • Post Launch: Know why we are winning and losing in the market, and drive changes to our product and processes to create improvement.
  • Continuous Innovation: work closely with product stakeholder(s), operations teams, and business teams to define/align product roadmap(s) to support greater automation and efficiency.
  • Initiative Oversight: Coordinate and participate in cross-functional teams that address development and integration of new systems and platforms both internal and external.
Minimum Skills Required:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience with minimum 4+ years in a technology product role in a global organization.
  • Proven experience to envision, market, sell & improve technology products.
  • Food, Agriculture, FMCG industry experience.
  • Comfortable operating in varying technology environments.
  • Drive and experience to guide product-driven teams and roadmaps.
  • Experienced and capable of leading implementation and transformative initiatives on a global scale.
  • Know how to navigate hurdles and stay focused on great customer experiences working in a lean & agile product development environment,
  • Strong understanding of Agile principles and methodologies
  • Travel as needed and collaboration across multiple time zones required
  • Cross-functional knowledge of IT systems development and delivery.
  • Experience working with structured data and reporting, strong Excel skills.
  • Ability to recommend innovative technology solutions that support complex business requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate thoughts and ideas to others verbally and in writing.
  • Experienced in project management; project scoping and estimating, proposal planning, writing and delivery.
  • Experienced in business proposal development & presentations.
  • Experienced in vendor management and vendor engagement practices.
