Job Summary
The Senior Manager of Business Intelligence is responsible for leading the business intelligence and analytics team, partnering with the business on analytic solutions, and educating leadership on the capabilities of analytics solutions. This individual must be analytical, have a background leading business analytics development teams and hands on experience developing BI solutions. This position will be responsible for writing well designed, efficient code using the best software development practices to build and enhance our business intelligence systems. This position is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing BI database views, ETL processes, and BI reports and dashboards.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, vision, and management for the business analytics team. Including prioritizing the workload of the business analytics team and adjusting priority as needed based on business needs.
- Utilizes programming experience to create, manage, and support analytic solutions based on business requirements. Independently creates, views and extracts data from multiple systems to deliver reports that provide key insight to Heartland leadership. Develops and updates technical documentation.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining standards for business intelligence tools, processes and data. Develop analytics roadmap and strategy within Heartland and actively influence analytics roadmap for CONA.
- Represent Heartland within the CONA system in the Business Intelligence and Analytics space. Lead collaboration with CONA and other bottlers to bring the best cost-effective business analytics solutions to the Coca-Cola organization through contributing to roadmaps and standards for data visualization and business intelligence.
- Understand the goals, drivers and processes and suggest business analytics technical solutions to business problems in terms business executives understand. Must have strong IT and business skills to be able to bridge the gap between both groups.
- Responsible for Heartland BI security.
- Builds and maintains relationships across the organization and with technical vendors to enable communication, leadership, and foster collaboration.
- Promotes a work environment that fosters creative thinking, innovation, and rational risk taking.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of one year of work experience required, or a minimum of five years of progressive job experience including people, project, or account management with leadership and influencing skills required.
- Progressive BI programming experience in database, ETL, and visualization tools. Snowflake or Hana database experience preferred. Tableau or Microsoft Power BI visualization tool experience preferred.
- Experience in data modeling for BI applications.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing business intelligence solutions in a business environment, across the entire project lifecycle.
- Strong SQL development experience with the ability to write extracts and other code from scratch. Knowledge of SQL Server, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and/or Azure cloud analytics platforms preferred.
- Development experience coding in one or more of the following programming languages: Java, JavaScript, Python, R, RESTful web services, Ruby, XML (Python and Java a plus).
- Experience developing business strategy and vision in the business analytics area.
- Ability to communicate successfully both with business stakeholders as well as developers, to identify and understand business requirements and translate them into well-specified requirements.
- Strong analytical skills with a problem-solving aptitude.
- Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative.
- Experience within the Coca-Cola system or consumer products strongly preferred.
- Some travel required (10%-20%).
- Some outside hours work required (10%-25%).
- This position can be based anywhere in the US and can work remotely.
