Senior Estimator Construction

$125,000 - $150,000 - DOE

High End Commercial Interior Construction Company is seeking a Senior Estimator Construction to join their team! In this role you will work closely with clients, engineers, architects, developers and across the organization to develop strong relationships and build new ones. This position is open due to growth and is an excellent opportunity to join an established company with a great reputation in the construction industry.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Develop budget estimates using plans, specifications and conceptual information.
• Prepare accurate and detailed construction cost and project cost estimates from conceptual design through final construction document level design.
• Review, interpret and accurately estimate the scope of assigned work as described in the project documents.
• Review, estimate, and reconcile change orders.
• Partner with management team in developing new customers and growing our existing customer base.
• Assist in development of junior to mid-level team members.
• Develop pricing and unit rates from first principles including understanding and ability to utilize productivity rates in calculation of labor rates.
• Gather subcontractor and vendor bids or quotations.
• Provide value engineering services, set up work breakdown structure, and prepare task orders.
• Develop and maintain subcontractor/vendor and client relationships.
• Prepare subcontractor analysis sheets for assigned scope of work.
• Evaluate changes and subcontractor change order estimates.
• Work and collaborate with Team Members for specific project sector needs.
• Manage and lead a number of client accounts providing outstanding consultative services.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management/Engineering, Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Architecture is highly preferred. A combination of education, training, and work experience will also be considered in lieu of degree.
• 7-15+ years of related estimating experience.
• Experience working large scale corporate interiors projects is highly desired.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills needed.
• Advanced skill level in Excel and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge and experience with Estimating Software highly desired.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
