Description
SAIC is searching for an Engineering Technician to provide engineering support as assigned by the PMA265 Growler System Integration (GSI) Systems Engineering Co-Leads, and the Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leads.
Work will be performed onsite in Patuxent River, MD.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Drafting, reviewing and providing dispositions on the technical portions of acquisition documentation including, but not limited to, Statements of Work (SOWs), Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), System Performance Specifications (SPS), Engineering Change Notices (ECN) documents, Software Operational Requirement (SOR) documents, and Impact Assessment (IA) documents
- Assisting in planning and coordinating Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) events throughout the acquisition process (System Requirements Review (SRR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), Test Readiness Review (TRR), Functional Configuration Audit (FCA), and Physical Configuration Audit (PCA)) of projects as assigned by the LSE.
- Maintaining communication with the contractors, national team and Integrated Product Team Leads (IPTLs) to ensure all team members and management are informed. Monitor GSI assigned engineering tasks and ensure timely completion.
- Participating in and potentially initiating technical meetings with contractor and the national engineering team to maintain drum beat with hardware development, software development, specific test coordination, and deep dive specific problem topics that arise throughout product development/production and test.
- Assisting in development of technical risks and monitor mitigation as required ensuring successful completion of project(s) as assigned.
- Providing technical assistance to the GSI Logistics Leads, Fleet Support Team (FST) Leads, and Software configuration Sets (SCS) Leads as needed to support assigned projects.
- Researching, analyzing, and collecting data necessary to support the decision-making effort of both engineering and programmatic team members.
- Developing, coordinating, and participating in technical and programmatic meetings between various stakeholder entities.
Qualifications
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors and ten (10) years or more of related experience; Masters and eight (8) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and five (5) years or more experience.
- Active Top Secret clearance is required
