Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee production operations including efficient process management, quality control, safety/covid guidelines and customer service.
  • Manage and control labor and food costs/budgets and analyze areas requiring improvement.
  • Formulate, implement, and improve processes and programs which guide the organization in maintaining and growing its competitive position and growing volume of the operation
  • Establish and monitor quality control and safety systems. Ensure all safety and food management regulations are strictly enforced
  • Develop effective food preparation and documented cost management strategies, with emphasis on product quality and waste minimization
  • Contribute to the strategic development and management of career paths and succession plans.
  • Maintain effective communication, giving direction, support, timely documented feedback and recognition of performance.
  • Partner with the Variety family and support all department leadership to create best practices and overall success of the company
  • Coach and manage the company’s team in meeting and exceeding our CORE Values
  • Monitor kitchen logs, complete orders for the operation of the kitchen and develop metrics
  • Routinely conduct kitchen inspections to ensure equipment is functioning
  • Ensure kitchen is routinely cleaned & sanitized to exceed the Health Department standards
  • Measure productivity and identify cost reduction and/or program improvements
  • Work closely with management and leads in following processes, procedures, and policies

· Take ownership and have pride in the physical plant, people and products we create

· Control and mange Covid safety procedures

· Provides direction and oversight to managers and client relationship specialists of our dining and school service locations.

· Develops and implements appropriate strategies as well as strengthens programs to help lead team members and build long lasting client relationships.

· Oversee the administration and efficient operation of product sales, account appearance, staff success and client relationships/retention in accordance with the Variety FoodServices objectives and all regulations.

· Helps create and operate within annual operational budgets.

Critical skills needed:

· Must have strong client relationship skills dealing with customer contacts at all levels

· Must have good management skills directing multiple field representatives and account managers.

· Must have good contract foodservice management/industry knowledge

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Logistics, Operations, or Business Management

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Operations role or General Manager, must be able to work a flexible schedule

· Management experience required

· Someone with a Food/Logistics/Manufacturing background may be ideal

· Local travel is required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
