Sterling Crane LLC: Founded in 1954, Sterling Crane has been one of North America’s premier leaders in the heavy lift industry offering operated and bare rentals, sales, parts, and unparalleled service to all our customers. We boast one of the largest inventories of modern lifting equipment in North America, in excess of 1000 units. With an increase in recent demand, we are in need of a Senior Credit Specialist in our HQ Thornton, CO.

The Sr. Credit Specialist will analyze and review customer’s credit application and financial records to determine qualification of line of credit and make suggestions to Controller for approval. Contact customers to inquire of past due payments, process credit card payments and match payments. They will oversee the AR aging.

Duties and responsibilities

• Review and analyze customer credit applications using Dun & Bradstreet and contacting references.
• Communicate approvals and credit limits to yards.
• Manage AR aging, working with Controller, Operations Management and Admin on past due payments.
• Set up new customers in the ERP to generate customer ID, maintain custom information
• Process and settle Credit Card payments.
• Apply payments daily as directed by customer.
• Research payment disputes
• Work with Controller on bad debt reserves, write offs and customer holds.
• Review and reassess customer credit limits on an annual basis.
• Work with 3rd party collections
• Collaborate with legal relating to Lien filing and bankruptcy proceedings.
• Review daily bank statement to ensure look box, ACH, wires, and Credit Card settlements have been applied in the ERP system.

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

• Three years in Accounts Receivable or Collections. Construction industry experience is preferred but not required.
• Prior experience with lien process and evaluation of credit worthiness
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High sense of urgency and perform well under pressure.
• Strong Excel and Outlook knowledge
• Ethical and creditable
• Experience

Physical Requirements

• Salaried position with hours mainly Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm. Some evenings and weekends may be required. Required in office, minimum three days a week, subject to change to adjust to business demand.
• Manual dexterity, auditory and visual acuity to operate computers, phones, mobile devices and basic office equipment on a constant basis
• Ability to work for extended periods of time sitting, bending, reaching, and speaking on a constant basis.
• 90 day in office trial period.

Salary: 75k-80k DOE
