Senior Compliance Manager, Purolite – King of Prussia, PA based

Ecolab’s Global Compliance team is responsible for Ecolab’s Global Compliance Program. The Senior Compliance Manager, Purolite participates and supports the development, implementation, and consistent application of Ecolab’s Global Compliance Program. The Senior Compliance Manager, Purolite is responsible for strategy, planning, and implementation of Ecolab’s Global Compliance Program within the Purolite division. The Senior Compliance Manager, Purolite will interface between the legal, business and operations teams globally to ensure all relevant laws, rules, policies, processes and procedures are understood and followed.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work closely with country, business unit and functional management to design, communicate and monitor various compliance programs.
  • Partner with the Purolite division senior leadership to ensure that the Compliance program effectively prevents and/or detects violations of law, regulations, policies, or the Code of Conduct by:
    • Translating global strategies into the Purolite division, taking into account relevant external regulatory trends and environment in Life Sciences
    • In partnership with Global Compliance, developing a Purolite division Regional strategy & plan; coordinate deployment.
    • Assuring adequate representation in business governance structures and establish discussion platforms to get general business buy-in and impact analysis
    • Acting as an ethical advisor, and where appropriate assure review and approval for certain business activities
    • Stimulating and contributing to innovative approaches towards the Purolite business consistent with the global guidelines and framework
    • Providing and coordinating appropriate guidance, education, training, and regular communications on Compliance and Ethics to all Purolite employees, including Purolite leadership
    • In partnership with Global Compliance, build and lead the Purolite Anti-Bribery, Anti-Corruption Program
    • Conducting Purolite self-assessment and risk assessment processes to detect process gaps & inconsistencies
    • Developing a testing & monitoring plan to demonstrate that the Purolite Compliance program is effective and participate in execution where appropriate and engage Purolite leadership in the roll out
    • In partnership with Global Compliance and the Internal Audit department, coordinate Management Action Plans, and guide the business partners to close gaps and implement corrective actions
    • Participating in and leading Purolite Code investigations and following the Global Compliance investigation process and procedures
    • Analyze and provide metrics
    • Interface with legal counsel when appropriate regarding Compliance requirements and interpretation

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7 years of legal or compliance experience in a professional-level and/or audit capacity.
  • Direct and practical experience with systems and project management.
  • 3+ years’ experience managing systems, reviewing, analyzing, and synthesizing data into meaningful reports.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in Finance, Audit, or in a Law Department.
  • Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and related laws
  • Experience with multinational companies with cross-border projects.
  • Tenacity and strong drive for results.
  • Efficient at handling and prioritizing multiple projects in a service-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of laws (Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, Anti-trust laws, Anti-kickback laws, Trade laws), regulations, industry guidance and best practices.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ethical, with a strong understanding of compliance risks and a good sense for practical solutions.
  • Ability to interact effectively with associates at all levels in all divisions and departments globally.
