Acara Solutions is seeking a talented Sr. Assembly Technician to work with a semiconductor manufacturing company Portland, OR. This is a direct hire position and there will be a $10,000 sign on bonus for everyone who gets hired!

Relocation assistance is provided for anyone who is moving more than 50 miles from the facility.

Multiple shifts available:

Front End Day: Sunday to Tuesday and every other Wednesday 5am - 5:30pm
Back End Day: Thursday to Saturday and every other Wednesday 5am - 5:30pm
Front End Nights: Sunday to Tuesday and every other Saturday 5pm - 5:30am
Back End Night: Wednesday to Friday and every other Saturday 5pm - 5:30am

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Sr. Assembly Technician will navigate computer-based work instructions to install parts and hardware using hand tools and fixtures on wafer fabrication equipment in a Lean manufacturing clean-room environment. May also assist in identifying deficiencies in processes/procedures and escalate production issues to lead Technicians, Supervisors and Engineering, ensuring productivity goals are met.

• Effectively use hand tools, torque wrenches, equipment, and fixtures to assemble wafer fabrication equipment while complying with all safety processes, best known methods, and expectations at all times
• Execute work instructions, follow schematics to perform visual inspection of components prior to installation; document nonconformance conditions and work with stakeholders on solutions
• Perform configuration audits through visual inspection and non-destructive testing, documenting findings electronically
• Perform inline testing of basic product subsections, documenting non-conformance issues and escalating to Engineering for resolution
• Perform Risk Management by Walking Around (RMBWA) factory floor inspections and document, correct, and/or escalate safety issues/hazards; respond directly and quickly to unsafe practices

REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 4 years of product assembly experience of complex systems (semiconductor, robotics, automotive, aviation, large-scale medical devices)
• Minimum of 4 years experience and knowledge of different types of non destructive testing and PPE (cleanroom suit, safety glasses, masks, shields, gloves, safety footwear)
