Overview: Hicuity Health, the leading high acuity telemedicine provider in the United States, is seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as a Senior Application Developer. This position will assist in the design, development, and testing of custom applications to support clinical workflows and business processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Defines site objectives by analyzing user requirements; envisioning system features and functionality.
  • Designs and develops user interfaces to Internet/intranet applications by setting expectations and features priorities throughout development life cycle; determining design methodologies and tool sets; completing programming using languages and software products; designing and conducting tests.
  • Ensure that multiple projects to be completed on schedule and on budget.
  • Act as a liaison to internal clinical, business and administrative system owners, and external vendors.
  • Recommends system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchase alternatives.
  • Interact with vendors, users, and peers to understand application development requirements.
  • Help with application prototyping, wireframes, POC, design, data architecture and workflows.
  • Coordinate the maintenance and expansion of documentation, requirements docs, design docs, test plans, code repository, automation tools, etc. Create and maintain standards (SOP, check lists, Service Desk Scripts, etc) for Enterprise Application compliance and delivery.
  • Implement requirements by writing code to the agreed upon design using both agile and waterfall methodologies as needed.
  • Work with the team to perform various types of testing (Unit, System, Integration, Performance, Load/Stress, Regression, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience
  • Two to four years applications development experience with at least one year in web applications development
  • Two years database development experience
  • Two years developing detailed design specifications, policies/procedures, and test plans
  • In depth knowledge of various applications and related technologies
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft .NET and software development practices in a C# environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server technologies
  • Broad knowledge of applications, database and integration protocols.
  • Full understanding of the applications infrastructure environment; which includes an understanding of database systems and operating systems.
  • Broad knowledge with various prototyping and wire framing tools and techniques
  • Ability to work in Agile fashion to deliver software more frequently, responding to changes in the requirements.
  • Must be a self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills who is willing to take ownership of issues and see them through to resolution with little or no supervision.
  • Desired Qualifications:
  • Use of SOA architectures using OOP along with design patterns (MVC, Repository, pub/sub, etc…)
  • Prior experience with EPIC App Orchard or Cerner CareAware
  • Understanding of HL7 v2 standards
  • Prior experience working with Corepoint Interface engine
