Position Summary
PMA is seeking a senior construction manager to lead a group that provides technical, field, and administrative duties associated with construction management projects at airports. Airfield construction experience is mandatory as well as a thorough knowledge of FAA standards and requirements. The right candidate will have technical expertise in the construction and construction management of airfield pavements and navigational aids (NAVAIDS). Essential job duties include:
Position Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in airside construction projects is required; 15 years of experience preferred.
- Airfield construction experience is mandatory. A thorough knowledge of FAA standards and requirements and technical expertise in construction and construction management of airfield pavements and navigational aids (NAVAIDS) are required.
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction-related processes, and scheduling, as well as a thorough knowledge of industry practices are required.
- Proven leadership and management capability are required.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills with the ability to communicate complex issues to non-technical audiences required.
- Ability to work with others; a self-starter with a results-driven focus required.
- BS in an engineering field (construction management, civil engineering, or other engineering fields) is preferred.
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM) by CMAA preferred.
- State of California Professional Engineer’s license preferred.
- Prolog and Primavera experience preferred.
Additional Requirements
Physical: Standing or sitting for long periods; must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times and spend extended hours in front of a computer screen.
Cognitive: Problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills; computer and software skills; and ability to read and interpret text online or in printed form.
