The LeFrak Center at Lakeside, Prospect Park, is now accepting resumes for the position of Security Supervisor. The LeFrak Center at Lakeside is Brooklyn's activity destination featuring year-round activities including ice skating, roller skating, dining, water play, biking, boating, family-friendly classes and special events.
Ideal candidates must have solid experience in high volume recreational venue operations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with management team to determine security needs.
- Plan and implement security strategies.
- Train and supervise Security staff.
- Provide safety training for employees.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and security industry regulations.
- Coordinate responses to emergencies and alarms.
- Maintain accurate and current logs and records.
- Prepare surveillance equipment maintenance schedule.
- Analyze incident reports in order to institute changes that lead to a safer environment.
- Assist in coordinating Security teams for large events.
- Advise the management team on security issues and compliance in daily operations and large events.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar capacity.
- Valid NYS Security Guard license.
- Experience in preventing illegal activity and performing access control.
- Knowledge of security industry regulations.
- Experience and understanding of facets of recreational venue operations.
- Great interpersonal skills and professionalism.
- Responsive with proactive follow-through and follow-up.
- Ability to think creatively and provide innovative solutions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent leadership skills and management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work on weekends and nights as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $20.00 per hour
