Information System Security Officer (ISSO)

RIS is seeking an adaptable and engaged candidate with 2+ years of experience supporting the execution of a comprehensive Cybersecurity program under the applicable governing Risk Management Framework (RMF) derived regulations such as: DAAPM, JSIG and ICD-503.

Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen with a Secret clearance.

This position is for an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) at the RIS El Segundo, CA, facility. The ISSO must be familiar with (but not limited to): Risk Management Framework (RMF), National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM) and related documentation such as, Baseline Technical Security Configuration Standards, DAAPM and other Cybersecurity regulations. The ISSO interfaces with other cybersecurity team members, other security disciplines (industrial security, physical security, etc.), program personnel and government security representatives when conducting self-inspections/assessments.

Requirements of the Information System Security Auditor:

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of two (2) years of experience, unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
• Must possess or be willing to obtain a DoD 8570 certification IAT Level II certification within 6 months (IAM Level II preferred).
• Theoretical knowledge of a comprehensive cybersecurity program to include risk management, system security plans (SSP)s and associated artifacts (e.g., POAMs, HW/SW baselines, etc.), identifying secure system configurations (e.g., Win10, Server2016, RHEL7, etc.), reviewing system/network audits, and remediating cyber-incidents.
• Experience with a continuous monitoring/improvement program (to include but not limited to self-inspections, security control assessments, training, log management systems, automated inventory utilities, etc.).
• Experience with supporting appropriate Cybersecurity policy, processes and procedures.
• Knowledgeable of the current DISA cybersecurity directives and their applicability.
• Knowledgeable with SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC) and DISA STIG Viewer.
• Effective writing, speaking, analytical, and customer service skills.

The salary range for this role is 68,000 USD - 136,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
