Security Engineer – Tyndall AFB, FL
JOB SUMMARY:
BB&E is seeking a Security Engineer to support the Program Management Office (PMO) onsite at Tyndall AFB, FL.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for monitoring the design and installation of Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) for individual Tyndall (and Langley) flood recovery MILCON contracts, to include monitoring the design and installation of IDS system component rough-ins (conduits, IDS systems component boxes, power supply, etc.) by the MILCON facility construction contractor for the follow-on installation of IDS systems under a separate contract.
- Work with the Air Force’s IDS system accreditation authority to achieve Full Operational Capability.
- Responsible for monitoring the rough-in (conduits, etc.) and construction of approved Air Force secure space and supporting security systems to include STC-rated doors and door frames, security compliant HVAC ductwork, access control components (keypads, appropriate sign security electronic door locks, etcv.
EDUCATION:
- Minimum, Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Communications Engineering or related subject.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Past experience and familiarity with Vindicator, Advantor, and Lenel (Lenel is a subset of Vindicator) Security Systems required.
- Project Management Professional credentials desired.
- Must have past experience and familiarity with ICD 705 requirements.
- US Citizenship and DoD Government Security Clearance or ability to obtain a NACI is required.
- Must have experience and working knowledge of the following programs: MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, & Access).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Motivated self-starters requested.
