Security Access Supervisor

Job Overview

As a Security Access Supervisor, you will serve and provide leadership for a team of highly motivated security professionals dedicated to the foundation of DFW Airport, and the safety & security of our traveling passengers. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising the issuance of and maintenance of security credentials including capturing biometric and biographic information, conducting audits of Airport ID media and revenue, reviewing and maintaining criminal history records check results, and using a variety of software to maintain Airport Board records.

What you will be doing:

• Directing, supervising, and evaluating the performance of a group of Trusted Agents; taking appropriate corrective action in accordance with Airport Board and Department of Public Safety (DPS) policies and procedures; planning, organizing, and overseeing the daily operation of Access DFW; and monitoring Trusted Agents’ compliance with Federal regulations, the Airport Security Program and the Code of Rules and Regulations.
• Planning, coordinating, prioritizing, distributing and monitoring Access DFW’s work flow; ensuring adequate support is available; projects and assignments are completed on time and conform to the department’s format and quality standards; and organizing and prioritizing work to meet established performance goals and deadlines.
• Evaluating exceptions and providing decisions based upon facts and Federal regulatory requirements; responding clearly, courteously and effectively to customer issues/complaints and resolving issues/complaints within the standard operating procedures; may refer complaints to the Public Safety Access DFW Manager for resolution when necessary.
• Preparing Trusted Agents’ work schedules; reviewing and approving employee leave, and scheduling requests in accordance with Airport Board and DPS policies and procedures; and processing department payroll and payroll related documents and information in accordance with Airport Board and DPS policies and procedures.

What you need:

• Completion of thirty (30) hours of college level coursework.
• Three (3) years of increasingly responsible office administration experience.
• Three (3) years of customer service experience.
• Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
• Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.
• Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license.
• Has not been convicted of a Felony, Class A and/or Class B Misdemeanor criminal offense.
• Has not been convicted of any family violence offense.

What we desire:

• Experience in the military, law enforcement and/or a security field in an aviation environment.
• Multi-lingual.
