Medical Assistant- City Base

Location: 2302 SE Military Dr Suite 107, San Antonio, TX 78223

Status: Seasonal, Full-time (6 months or less)

Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care is looking to add a Seasonal Medical Assistant to our growing team. This temporary position is ideal for a motivated individual who enjoys working with kids. Our MA job positions allow for flexible schedules as well as education and training opportunities.

What You Need (Qualifications):

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be a graduate from an Accredited Medical Assistant Program, or Medical Assistant with relevant work experience required
• Must pass criminal background check
• American Heart Association BLS certification and PALS required prior to start date
• Enjoys working with children!
• Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role

The Nitty Gritty (Day To Day):

• Work with your team members to provide excellent healthcare to our patients!
• Provide excellent customer service to sick children and their nervous parents
• Greets patients/customers
• Verify insurance benefits
• Input data into EMR
• Collect co-payments/deductibles/balances
• Answer and manage phones
• Conduct end of day balancing

When We Operate (Schedule):

• Weekdays: 12 hours shifts
• Rotating Weekends: 8 hour shifts
• Clinic Hours are as follows:
• Mon – Fri: 9:00 am – 8:30 pm
• Sat-Sun: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
• Travel to other clinics as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
