Insurity’s next Scrum Master

At Insurity, we provide outstanding service to our customers. Our Assigned Resource Teams (ART) are teams aligned with specific customers and/or customer requests. ART is seeking a Scrum Master early in their career to join a team passionate about providing customers solutions to perform their business. In this role, the Scrum Master leads the dedicated team including business analysts, developers, quality assurance, and the related team associates to succeed in customer expectations. Some roles may also manage projects and initiatives aligned to the customer's request. These roles do have customer interaction and will include presenting information to internal and external partners.

What You’ll Do:

Manage one to three Scrum teams simultaneously:

  • Management of the Scrum schedule including assignment of resources, planning of projects, and setting of milestones
  • Report Sprint status on a regular basis to management, project teams, and customers through internal and external status reports
  • Facilitate all aspects of the Scrum framework, including sprint planning sessions, daily scrums, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives
  • Manage projects/programs to meet customer expectations and SOW terms that can sometimes be ambiguous
  • Maintain the Scrum team capacity plan, Scrum board, sprint backlog, velocity charts and burn-down charts
  • Identify and help remove impediments to enable the success of the Sprint team
  • Proactively handle project risks and issues providing appropriate solutions and calling out when necessary
  • Support and partner with the Product Owners and Customer Solutions representatives
  • Interact with customers to provide status updates, answer questions, and attend Business Reviews

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (equivalent work experience may be considered)
  • 1-4 years of experience as Scrum Master; or program/project management with Agile experience
  • P&C Insurance knowledge and experience are preferred
  • A leader among your peers, a mentor, and a vocal contributor to the team

Where: This role can be performed either remotely or based in our Hartford office.
