Our client located in the Pittsburgh, PA area is looking to hire for a Scrum Master with the following skills:

Job Summary: Candidate to lead scrum teams for software development team.

Responsibilities will also include: Interaction with customers and technical staff, process improvement, quality assurance, problem resolution, and project-lead activities.

Required Skills: Healthcare background, strong interpersonal and communication skills, expert level of business experience and knowledge of project methodology and the application development life-cycle

Responsibilities

  • Manage project(s) utilizing standard project management tools and techniques
  • Serve as Scrum Master for multiple projects and coach teams in following scrum practices
  • Establish and utilize a comprehensive project plan to monitor and report project deliverables
  • Coordinate in resolving issues, addressing risks; escalate concerns, and facilitate decision-making
  • Develop and implement key metrics to measure/report the progress and value of the project
  • Conduct/Facilitate scrum ceremonies such as Daily Standup, Grooming, Planning, Sprint Review and Retrospectives
  • Nurture an environment where project issues can be raised without any fear of blame, or being judged
  • Work with management to achieve efficiencies across multiple projects and to implement lessons learned
  • Work with intra/inter-departmental Project Managers and Scrum Masters to facilitate dependencies
  • Provide concise project status report in a different form with appropriate details considering the audience (project team, stakeholders and executives) in a regular or as requested basis
  • Create and maintain ‘as is’ or ‘to be’ workflow and other system documentation for ongoing project
  • Proactively identify trends in project implementation and recommend process improvement
  • Assess the Agile maturity and coach team to go to the higher levels of maturity, at a sustainable pace
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by department management

Required Qualification:

  • IT Project Management experience (5+ years)
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development methodology (3+ years)
  • Hands-on Scrum Master experience (2+ years)
  • Experience working with tools VSTS, ALM, Jira, Version One or similar
  • Strong ability to partner with cross-functional teams to deliver project goals
  • Diplomatic, flexible, and ‘easy to work with’ personality
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to perform planning for multiple initiatives/projects, managing all tasks required to provide services to meet business needs within the timeline and the budget
  • Ability to effectively manage project scope, and communicate with partners in IT, business, and vendors
  • Good computer skills, including experience in tools like MS Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio, and others
  • Hands-on experience with any agile collaboration tool(s)

Preferred Qualification:

  • PPM Certification
  • PSM/CSM Certification
  • Prior Healthcare domain experience

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $42.75 - $79.12 per hour
