We are looking for a talented Scientist to lead Abpro Antibody Discovery efforts to generate novel therapeutic antibodies for various indications. This individual is responsible for discovering novel antibodies using various approaches including hybridoma, single-B cell cloning, and/or phage/yeast display. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, well organized, can work on multiple projects in parallel, and have strong communication skills. The Antibody Discovery Scientist/Senior Scientist is expected to work on the bench and spend most of the time in the lab.

Responsibilities*

• Generate therapeutic antibodies either to be used as-is or as a bispecific (multi-specific) format
• Design and implement antibody discovery plans including antigen design, immunization strategy, screening assay validation, and development
• Characterize antibodies using biochemical and cell-based assays
• Analyze data, interpret results, identify problems, and develop troubleshooting plans
• Present research findings internally and at scientific meetings, conferences
• Proactively review the scientific literature to identify and share new scientific findings, ideas, and methods
• Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

Job Requirements*

• Ph.D., MS, or BS degree in molecular biology, cell biology, immunology biochemistry, or related field with 1-3 years, 3-5 years, or 5+ years of industry experience, respectively
• Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following antibody discovery platforms: hybridoma, single B cell cloning, and/or phage display technologies
• Proven track record of scientific excellence as evidenced by high-impact, peer-reviewed publications and/or patents
• Experience in antibody expression and purification is a plus
• Proactive, able to contribute to bench work in the lab
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and use his/her own judgment to prioritize tasks
• Keen attention to detail with the ability to work under strict deadlines
• Ability to troubleshoot, identify problems, make recommendations, and implement timely solutions
• Successful track record of leadership experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Capability to work within a dynamic matrix environment, with strong contribution to project strategies and progression.
