Job description

Responsible for inspecting and performing semi-skilled and skilled operations, maintenance, and repair activities in and on public works facilities and equipment in solid waste collection, disposal and recycling operations.

Essential Job Functions

· Assists with the collection, disposal, and recycling of materials.

· Assists with the general maintenance and operation of equipment.

· Assists with routine and preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment.

· Tasks are multiple and focus more on single processes. Work is sometimes standard and sometimes varied.

· Performs other duties of a similar nature or level as required.

Requirements/Knowledge/Abilities

· Use of office equipment and related applications.

· General mechanical, plumbing and electrical repair and diagnosis.

· Interpreting work specifications.

· Reading and comprehending maps, diagrams and regulations/policies.

· City geography and street locations.

*Good driving record and Class B or willing to get a Class B license.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $52,884.12 per year
