Position is Hybrid and on-site in Edina, Minnesota office.

Position Overview:

The Sales Trainee position is designed to indoctrinate new sales team members into Mitsubishi HC Capital America Vendor Services (MHCAVS) through a comprehensive training program. Sales Associates will complete rotations in credit, documentation, asset management, collections, legal and customer service to gain a thorough understanding of operations. Upon completion of the rotations, the Sales Associate will begin a rotation in sales to learn MHCAVS value proposition with the goal of developing the sales skills to be promoted to a Jr. Relationship Manager or Regional Sales Manager.

The incumbent must understand, abide and uphold the system of internal controls related to the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
(List in order of time spent)

  • Gain a thorough understanding of leasing by completing rotation through operations
  • Achieve a passing score in all rotations to continue in the Sales Associate program
  • Learns sales process and value proposition by completing sales training program
  • Sit in on conference calls with prospects to gain understanding of sales call and value proposition
  • Observes sales process and value proposition by traveling with Regional Sales Managers to appointments with prospects, existing customers and trade shows
  • Practices sales process by calling on smaller vendor opportunities and adhering to established sales processes
  • Gain a thorough understanding on the use of MHCAVS sales and marketing tools such as CRM, Rapport and Avention
  • Works on special projects as assigned by Senior Sales Leadership such as market research and lead generation initiatives
  • Updates sales knowledge by participation in educational improvement classes and reading sales and marketing publications

  • Demonstrate thorough understanding of the sales process including finding qualified prospects, qualification, finding decision makers, delivering the value proposition
  • Demonstrate the ability to conduct an effective discovery call with a qualified take account

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Tools and Equipment Used:
  • Personal computer, copier, fax, phone, and other typical office equipment

Working Hours:
  • Hours may vary and will require some evening work; frequently requires working 40-45 hours/week depending on business needs
Travel:
  • Occasional travel related to attendance at industry seminars

Physical Demands:
  • Digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination in operation of office equipment
  • Light lifting and carrying of supplies, files, etc.
  • Ability to speak to and hear customers and/or other employees via phone or in person
  • Body motor skills sufficient to enable incumbent to move from one office location to another

Salary Range: ($50,000) per year, plus a discretionary Bonus.

The salary range is determined and based on internal equity, market data/ranges, applicant's skills, prior relevant experience, and education.
