NaturPak Pet/IPM Foods is hiring a Sales Manager to generate new business in the wet pet food division. This position is full-time, Monday through Friday with travel to Janesville, WI.

The Sales Manager is responsible for managing specific accounts within the pet food industry. Responsibilities include maximizing existing business with current customers as well as the development of new accounts Accountable for profitable sales growth, allotted budget maintenance, new product placements, and promotional activities. This position reports to the Vice President of Sales.

NaturPak Pet/IPM Foods a member of the Trivest portfolio of companies, is a full-service contract food manufacturer and global leader specializing in Tetra Recart packaging, producing for large consumer products companies and national branded food retails. IPM’s food division focuses on brothers, soups and sauces; and its pet division focuses on the high demand “wet” pet food market.

Job Requirements:

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication with an eye for detail and accuracy
  • Must display a high level of professionalism with the ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information
  • 3+ years’ experience of extensive sales in the wet pet food industry
  • At least 3-5 years in a management role.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen; P&L accountability and/or contract-managed service experience.
  • Solid and proven track record for sales and leadership success.
  • Business goals – directly oversee profitable sales to meet and exceed the financial goals by maintaining sales revenues
  • Management, supervision and best practices of a sales team
  • Accurately forecast sales and production needs
  • Represent the company at events and trade shows in an effort to continually promote the company and obtain new customers
  • Plan for and implement new products (with R&D) by collaborating with department heads
  • Monitor trends and behavior of competing products in the market
  • Assists in customizing sales and marketing aids to create better branded visibility in accounts
  • Update weekly sales progress by category, customer and sales representative
  • Oversee sample requests and follow up with existing customers or potential new customers
