Job Description
Perform a variety of routine and complex work in driving and coordinating pick up and removal of waste/rubbish and recycling accounts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• May plan route to insure most economical use of time and equipment.
• Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
• Make sure pre-trip inspections are done before leaving the yard. And then a post-trip inspection is completed after you return at the end of your shift.
• Maintain and keep all vehicles clean.

• Report all problems immediately to supervisor/Manager/ or Safety manager

• Confirm with and abide by all regulations, policies work procedures, and instructions.

• Conform to all safety rules and use all the appropriate safety equipment Operate any equipment authorized to complete your job.

• All paperwork must be completed/signed and handed to the Mechanic and operations supervisor daily.

• Must be able to take/pass a random DOT drug test.

• Must maintain a clean and valid driver’s license

• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years Front end or Rear End waste truck or Roll Off route experienced preferred.
• Must be able to work or/and transportation to West Babylon, NY
• knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving
• The ability to safely drive various vehicles is a plus
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors, and the general public.
• Ability to work independently.
• Valid License.

Must be reliable and show up daily or as scheduled and hardworking individuals.

This position is a union job and offers extensive benefits and retirement.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

• Riverhead, NY 11901: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

• Roll off truck: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
• CDL B (Preferred)
