Job Description:

Logging all process changes, alarms, and communications with plants in notification system.
Entering accurate and precise unplanned and planned event logs in a timely manner.
Completing station rounds in a timely and efficient manner.
Completing all Learn Share and Master Control tasks and assignments as they are assigned.
Responsible for reviewing and releasing medical grade product per FDA regulations.
Adjusting air separation controls remotely to meet product specifications and production requirements.
Adjusting plant control variables, monitor and manage process equipment parameters to meet production goals.
Troubleshooting the causes of plant operational issues and alarms, either directly or in conjunction with the local team, and taking corrective actions.
Assisting with starting and stopping of plant machinery and processes in a safe manner as dictated by operating conditions and business needs.
Optimizing plant performance by tracking performance data and implementing the best operating plan for all respective plants.
Ability to effectively interact closely with all supporting groups/personnel for performance optimization and troubleshooting.
Responsible for inputting time-worked into recording system on the last day of their shift and/or before the end of the pay period.
Responsible for closing out ROC daily and weekly work order tasks in maintenance system as they are completed.

Schedule: 7 days on/7 days off.

Shift Change Responsibilities:
Ensure that all tasks assigned are done in a timely manner for shift change.
Should not leave until all tasks are completed, unless agreed upon by the new Shift Leader.
Plants must be turned over in a stable condition unless agreed upon by the operator receiving the plant.
Responsible for reporting any abnormal condition that occurred during their shift.
Responsible for completing their station’s portion of the Shift Summary Report.
Submit vacation requests 14 days prior to the requested days off.
May include other duties as assigned.

Skills, Qualifications, and Special Requirements:
Basic computer skills
Knowledge of ASU process theory and related equipment associated with the process.
Ability to effectively communicate through excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
Proficient in organizational skills .Ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects, and multi-task.
Comprehensive knowledge reading PFD and P&ID drawings.

Work Environmental & Physical Demands:
The characteristics described below are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this position.
ROC Operator portion of role will be performed primarily in an office environment. The ROC Operator may also be required to work from a home location, which must be conducive to performing the role and duties, including virtual/video meetings.
Field Coverage will potentially occur where ever Matheson has a facility, and during any season.
Climbing ladders/stairs of coldbox or tanks, multiple times per day.
Working with hand tools and applying sufficient force to accomplish tasks.
Fine/detailed adjustments of instruments.
Lifting fifty (50) pounds to waist height.
Ability to perform physical work while bending and twisting.
Must be able to wear proper PPE for tasks – e.g. glasses, masks, gloves, etc.
Job will require extensive daily usage of a computer, and other office equipment.
The Remote Operation Center is a 24/7 facility that requires rotating day and night shift coverage.
Employees will be required to work weekends, holidays, days and nights as required by their assigned schedule.
Must pass background check and drug test.
Must sign NDA.

Education/Experience:
High school graduate or equivalent required.
Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred, in Chemical or Industrial Engineering ideally.
Industry related vocational certifications considered.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
