Position Purpose:
Registered Nurse (RN) is a member of an innovative multidisciplinary team offering the latest techniques and modalities in pain management. The nurse educates and coordinates the plan of care for the patient in an outpatient clinic setting.

Hours/Shift: Full Time/Days with a 4x10 schedule M-Th or Tu-F

Key Responsibilities:
The RN in Pain Management coordinates the implementation of a nursing plan of care for the clinic's patients. Works under the direction of the physician and the Arizona State Nurse Practice Act to provide nursing care to patients in compliance with nursing standards and regulations. Utilizes the nursing process to make continuing assessments of the patient’s total health needs; implements nursing interventions based on assessment data; develops and implements the nursing plan of care, and evaluates the patient’s response. Triage patients by phone or in person, receiving and implementing telephone physician orders, maintaining clinical communication in dynamic environment. Collaborates with healthcare providers, nursing staff and other patient caregivers in coordinating patient care for both clinic and procedures, and to improve the quality and completeness of documentation of care. Adheres to behavioral expectations and policies; maintains patient and staff confidentiality; supports a healthy work environment through skilled communication, true collaboration, effective decision making, and meaningful recognition.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Education: Graduate of Nursing Program (Associates or Diploma Program)
  • Licensure: AZ RN license or compact state RN license
  • Certification: Arizona Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS certification
  • Experience: 1 or more years of experience as Registered Nurse in an clinical outpatient setting desired
Work Requirements:
  • Must be able to distinguish appropriate colors; consistently reach/work above/below shoulder level; lift to 50 pounds; be in feet 90% of the day; sit for desk work 10%
  • Duties have routine potential for exposure to bloodborne pathogens, move patients >300lbs, site, stand, walk, and bend duration of work shift
  • Possess good oral and written communication skills, knowledgeable with business office equipment; able to recognize urgent/emergent situations; implement direct care newborn-geriatric
