Saint Simons By-The-Sea Behavioral Health is a 101bed psychiatric and addictive disease hospital for adults and adolescents. We strive to provide quality mental health treatment and addiction treatment services in the area. Located on Saint Simons Island, Ga., Saint Simons By-The-Sea’s serene island setting ensures privacy and anonymity, enabling the patient to concentrate on recovery. Our hospital is conveniently located within driving distance of Jacksonville, FL, Savannah, GA, and other surrounding cities in the South Georgia and Northern Florida region. The hospital’s comfortable, supportive environment helps put patients at ease.

These temporary, 36 hour/week positions are for day and night shift.
These are 13 week temporary assignment positions that may be extended up to six months with rates at $45 per hour.
What kind of difference will you make working at Saint Simons By-The-Sea?
Registered Nurses (RNs) at Saint Simons By-The-Sea deliver quality nursing care to patients with varying psychiatric, behavioral, and mental health diagnoses, ensuring their safety and continued care.
Registered Nurses (RN) are responsible for completing the following duties and tasks:
- Assess patients through a systematic process of interacting with the patient, the patient’s significant others, and the appropriate health care providers.
- Administer medications in a safe, accurate, and timely manner
- Collect and analyze data regarding the patient’s physical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational, and anticipated discharge planning needs.
- Develop a comprehensive outline of care and specific goals and interventions to be included in treatment planning. Prepare interdisciplinary treatment plans for assigned patients and monitor patient’s progress toward meeting treatment plan objectives.
- Monitor patients progress while following nursing protocols.
What Does Saint Simons By-The-Sea Require for this Role?
A valid State of Georgia Nursing (RN) (Registered Nurse) License is required. Previous psychiatric, behavioral or mental health nursing experience is helpful but not required. CPR certification is required upon hire and will be provided at orientation, if needed.
