We specialize in caring for medically fragile pediatric and adult patients. The Respiratory Therapist oversees the respiratory needs of our patient population as well as training and education on the proper use of equipment and supplies. Additionally, home assessments using a company vehicle, patient follow-up phone calls, and equipment troubleshooting are key to this position. Some work can be done from the comfort of your home.

The Respiratory Therapist oversees the respiratory needs of our patient population as well as training and education on the proper use of equipment and supplies. Additionally, home assessments using a company vehicle, patient follow-up phone calls, and equipment troubleshooting are key to this position. Some work can be done from the comfort of your home.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides instruction to patients and/or caregivers on the proper use of the equipment and/or respiratory care procedures.
- Educate patients and/or caregivers on proper equipment usage.
- Routine patient follow-up calls some in-person some via video chat.
- Patient follow-up phone calls to homes and caregivers, assessments, and home visits.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Rotating on-call service shared with other team members to service equipment after hours.
- Provides and operates various types of respiratory care equipment including but not limited to home ventilators, oxygen therapy, nebulization therapy, apnea monitoring, suctioning, and CPAP/BiPAP.
- Inspects and tests equipment to ensure proper operating conditions.
- Acts as liaison between the patient, family members.
- Participates in ongoing education and training sessions regarding respiratory patient care.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Other duties as required.
Ideal candidates possess:
- Great communication and organizational skills.
- Work well with others.
- Have compassion for patients and caregivers of the medically fragile.
- Current Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or RRT licensed in the state of Texas.
- Acute care experience is a plus. Will train recent grads.
- Must possess a valid and current driver’s license and auto insurance.
- Must pass a drug screen, background check, and DOT Physical.
