The position will enable the collection of data on aspects of women’s sexual/reproductive health as part of an ongoing research study.
This position includes travel to Open Door Medical Center clinics in Port Chester, NY, and Sleepy Hollow, NY.
Position Duties
- Will recruit participants for a study on women’s health, from the waiting room of Open Door Family Medical Center clinics.
- Will conduct study procedures including informed consent procedures and enrollment, brief counseling, and some laptop-based data collection activities.
- Will communicate and coordinate with other members of the Pace University-based research team via phone and/or email.
Position Qualifications
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)
- Comfortable speaking about sexual and reproductive health issues
- Willing to be trained and certified by Pace University research investigators
- Willing to be certified on an online course as a national research network certified study assistant (this is a requirement for handling confidential research information)
- proficient laptop computer skills- Microsoft Office/Excel/Word
- Experience in research and/or sexual health counseling preferred
Work Hours
About 5-10 hours of work per week. Activities will take place at one or more Open Door Family Medical Center locations: Ossining, Sleepy Hollow, Port Chester
Salary Range
$17- $20 per hr
