Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant for the Brain Health Institute within the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Under direction, the Temporary Research Assistant will conduct behavioral experiments in Gerbils to study the neural mechanisms of auditory-decision-making. This position may require some weekend work.

- Train gerbils and run behavioral experiments to assess the neural mechanisms of auditory decision-making.
- Carry out post-experiment processing of brain tissue.
- Assist with microscopy and anatomical analysis of processed brain tissue.
- Perform auditory and visual manipulations in developing gerbils.
- Maintains accurate records of experimentation and research.
- Assists with computer data entry and analysis.

Minimum Education and Experience
- Enrolled in an undergraduate program for one of the following fields: psychology, biology, neuroscience, or other related field.

- Previous animal handling experience.
