Valley Vista Care Center of St. Maries is currently seeking an Infection Preventionist/Staff Development RN to join our nursing team! The Infection Preventionist/Staff Development RN plays a vital role in helping to ensure the health and safety of the Valley Vista Care residents and employees!

SUMMARY
Responsible for coordinating the implementation and updating of our established infection control policies and procedures. The Infection Preventionist will assess, document and appropriately treat any impaired skin integrity on admission and/or for current residents. Identify residents at risk for developing pressure ulcers and intervene to prevent the occurrence. Assists in the development of policies and procedures for the nursing department. Develops and coordinates training in-services and individual instruction for nursing staff. Is responsible for overall training and development of facility staff and orientation/training.
