Job Summary: The Regional Manager (RM) is responsible for developing and executing an aggressive customer retention, development, and acquisition strategy for American Medical Technologies. Job functions will include planning, reporting, goal setting and management, sales process optimization, and sales training of field staff. The RM will manage territory and individual employee workflows and communicate standards to the Field employees to improve and ensure quality outcomes, operational effectiveness, sales excellence, regulatory compliance and customer/BA satisfaction. The RM will operate under the direct leadership of the Regional Vice President (RVP) and Senior Vice President (SVP) and be accountable to carrying out companywide strategy toward achievement of the Company’s sales and operational goals. The RM will work in coordination with the Regional Clinical Manager (RCM) to uphold all company policies and standards in their given region

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Acquires new customers from an assigned geography, and/or a set of names prospects.
  • Provides a management-level point of contact for key customers.
  • Builds and maintains strong customer relationships.
  • Builds peer support and strong internal-company relationships with other key management personnel.
  • Establishes productive relationship with RCM CSs and Quality Service Representatives (QSR) based on frequent communication, collaboration, and effective allocation of resources.
  • Leads all aspects of the sales process, while calling upon other company sales resources to assist in solution development, proposal delivery, and implementation, as needed or as requested by management.
  • Establishes reliable systems and procedures to collect and review information necessary to manage sales within a territory. Takes action to identify problems in performance early, determine where help is needed and seek assistance as appropriate to minimize impact on territory outcomes.
  • Establish both annual and monthly sales objectives for region in coordination with the Company’s business plan.
  • Meet or exceed established sales goals.
  • Represent the Company at various community and/or business meetings to promote the Company as needed.
  • Identify & proactively seek opportunities for improvement between organization, management, and individual performance
  • Serve as liaison to internal and external customers to problem solve issues between the BAs and the Field Employees within a respective territory
  • This position is 75% travel
  • Utilize appropriate reporting to measure and monitor quality outcomes and productivity performance measures in the Field.
  • Provide required reporting in a timely manner to the Sr. Vice President Sales/Regional Vice President
and, where appropriate, to other members of the Executive Team.
  • Maintain open lines of communication to ensure sharing of information, ideas and concerns affecting initiatives which crossover between both Sales & Clinical teams.
  • Complete and return all necessary paperwork and reports to Sr. Vice President Sales/Regional Vice President, Corporate, and regional offices.
  • Conduct performance review, with RM for applicable region, for each Clinical Specialist as indicated by policies and procedures.
  • Act as a liaison for communication between Field employees, Clinical Management and Corporate and Regional Offices, Principles of the Company, and Gevity, as necessary.
  • Conduct conference calls with Clinical Specialist and other team members routinely.
  • Collaborate on a routine basis with the corresponding RM for each region on sales initiatives, objectives, and goals established for the territory. Ensure customer satisfaction and account retention efforts are proactively being managed between RCM and RM positions.
  • Ensure that the expectations and procedures of the New Hire and Corporate Training Programs provided by the Company are supported by all members within the territor•Ensure that Field Employees are appropriately prepared to provide education to the BA in accordance with best practice & commitment to all regulations, procedures, and guidelines of company.
  • Monitor and proactively address potential education, training or support needs in the field. Initiate appropriate counter measures to minimize a negative impact on employee performance.
  • Ensure that clinical specialists are enhancing their professional growth and development through participation in current educational wound care programs.
  • Manage and support Clinical Specialist to help them meet their duties and responsibilities as outlined in the job description. Proactively address potential education, training or support needs in the field. Initiate appropriate counter measures to minimize a negative impact on employee performance.

  • Maximize team & company performance by creating a team atmosphere that values opportunities for development and professional growth.
  • Establish and maintain an effective communication channel to employees within your territory to disseminate updates on changes in company procedures, regulatory changes (as guided by Sr. VP of Governmental Affairs), and other information pertinent to the employee’s job responsibilities.
  • Consider professional development needs of all employees and establish priorities. Help employees expand their knowledge and skills by providing timely feedback, guidance and facilitate training opportunities as needed to help them reach clinical operational goals.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Attend meetings and in-services as required. Meeting attendance may require travel.
  • Assist other team members (in own region) with coverage during vacation and sick time.
  • Participate in individual and team reviews and other quality improvement programs as necessary.
  • Communicate with Complete and return all necessary paperwork and reports to Sr. Vice President Sales/Regional Vice President, Clinical Specialists, healthcare facilities’ medical staff, and The Company’s employees as needed.
  • Review, approve and/or deny monthly expense reports for employees in accordance with the Company’s expense policy and procedures
  • Maintain a current knowledge of The Company’s Policies and Procedures Maintain current knowledge of wound care. LTC & regulatory industry by attending continuing education conferences/seminars.
  • Maintain accredited wound care certification as outlined in The Company’s wound care certification policy.
Education and Technical Skills:
  • High School Diploma and Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • Qualifications: 10 years’ experience in healthcare sales
Additional Eligibility Qualifications/Competencies:
  • Technical Skills – Product knowledge, sales plan design, strategic prospecting skills, rapport building in-person and over phone, objection prevention, demo skills, closing techniques, post-sale relationship management.
  • Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Reasoning Ability - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Computer Skills - Exceptional skills in MS Suite with a strong proficiency in Excel including pivot tables.
  • Language Skills - Ability to articulate recommendations in a concise and timely manner, ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from external/internal customers, regulatory agencies, and members of the executive leadership team. Ability to write presentations that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to the management, executive leadership team, and investor groups.

Physical Requirements:
